Abstract: A key design of electrochemical mechanical finishing plant used to polish cylinder surface is presented. The regularities that technological factors influence surface profile are studied. The ripple, profile irregularities characteristic and high spot count distribution of surface resulted from this newly process are experimented. Experimental results indicate that surface profile machined with electrochemical mechanical finishing consists mainly of corrugations of high frequency and small amplitude.
