Abstract: The Gleason theoretical tooth surface model is presented.
The deviations of the real tooth surface measured with coordinate
measuring machine from the theoretical one are represented with the
difference surface. Using the global parameters derived from the
difference surface, an algorithm of machine-settings correction is
proposed. The geometrical precision of tooth surface is improved
effectively.
