Abstract: By using elastic-plastic and large deformation FEM, the contact flattening of the working rolls in cold strip steel rolling is simulated. And the shape curves after elastic flattening of the working rolls using numeric method is fitted, then the Hitchcock equation of calculating the roll flattening radius which can enhance the accuracy of the control model of rolling force calculating in a wide range is revised.
