TRIBOLOGICAL SIZE EFFECT AND RELATED PROBLEMS

Abstract: Current state of tribological size effect has been presented in brief according to literature reviews. From the size point of view, a systematic study has to be done on key fundamental problems such as the validity of traditional tribological theories, the transitional tribology, the coefficient of friction, the relation between tribological behaviour and size effect of material, system structure and physical laws.
