DEVELOPMENT OF THEORY AND PRACTICE OF ELECTRIC CURRENT SOLIDIFICATION TECHNIQUE

Abstract: The domestic and overseas research survey of electric current solidification technique in recent half century is reviewed. Some important achievements are introduced regarding the influence of DC, AC and pulse electric current on the solidification process and structure of metals. The shortage and tendency about electric current solidification technique presently is summarized. Technology and theory problems that should be researched and solved before the application of the current treatment technology in industry are indicated. The advantages and foreground of pulse current treatment are especially emphasized.
