Abstract: The
internal flow of a cross-flow fan is simulated with CFD software
STAR-CD, and the influence of structure parameters on the performance of
the cross-flow fan is analyzed. The structure parameters include volute
tongue clearance, inlet angle, volute case clearance, volute tongue
angle, outlet angle and so on. Based on the analysis of the influences
of the structure parameters on the velocity of inlet and outlet, the
relationship between the structure parameters and the flow filed of the
cross-flow fan can be determined. Some calculated results are verified
by the experimental data and show they are reasonable.
