EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE METHOD OF VISION DETECTING MAG WELDING POOL INFORMATION

Abstract: The ways to vision detecting arc welding pool information and image-getting mechanisms are theoretically analyzed. For visional information of pool in short circuiting transfer and spray transfer, the idea to fully use radiation of pool and acquire image of pool in the near-infrared bands are put forward. Four kinds of compound narrowband filters based on three kinds of mechanism are adopted, from these experiments, it is known that near-infrared bands are the best window to acquire pool image and the selection of the window should approach maximum detection wavelength of CCD camera.  In this window, clear images of pool area are acquired. The signal-to-noise of visional pool information and influence factor of it are explored. Typical characters of MAG welding pool are analyzed.
