RESEARCH ON THE FORMING MECHANISM OF SURFACE MACHINED BY ORTHOGONAL TURN-MILLING

Abstract: The forming mechanism of surface machined by orthogonal turn-milling is researched on detailedly through mathematical method. The calculating method of workpiece’s theoretical micro-roundness and the mathematical expression of workpiece’s side generatrix are given. The influence of the main cutting parameters on the theoretical micro-roundness and the workpiece’s side generatrix is analyzed, and the scale of eccentricity and axial feed is expounded detailedly when machining the cylinder surface.
