Abstract: 3-D elasto-plastic finite element method is adopted to
simulate the process of cross wedge rolling, the relative de- formation
rule in the axial direction of workpiece is analyzed. On the base of
comparing the relative deformation degree under the different rolling
conditions, the influence of process parameters on the axial
stretching of workpiece is obtained. This result plays a guiding role on
selecting appropriate parameters of the tools and avoiding the formation
defects, guaranteeing the quality of parts.
