Abstract: This research made use of system of PIV (Particle image
velocimetry) that advanced measuring technique of fluid field to perform
exact highly measurement in the case of not interfering with fluid
field. Namely, it use optical astigmatism of the particle in the fluid
to record the site of particle at different time. Accordingly, it will
require the replacement of particles and measure the absolute
velocimetry of water in the centrifugal impeller passage and volute,
software is used to process the data and the blade-to-blade distribution
of the total relative velocities from suction to pressure side is
abtained in the centrifugal impeller passage. It provides reliable
theory basis for design of centrifugal pump.
