Abstract: The research and development survey of finite element models in springback numerical simulation of sheet metal forming is reviewed. The finite element models used in springback analysis in engineering at present and their characteristics are explained and compared with each other. The research and development status of the new element models- incompatible modes used in nonlinear finite element analysis at present are introduced, and the international research hot topic and development trend in this field are pointed out.
