Abstract: Road tests of first sample car EQ7200HEV are carried out
according to the character of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). The
experimental method is based on national standards on conventional
vehicles and SAE J1711. The experiments include acceleration test of
0~100 km/h, highest-speed test, climbing capacity test, and fuel economy
test based on ECE15 driving cycle. The results show that hybrid control
unit (HCU) can operate powertrain logically and accurately. The fuel
consumption deduces by comparison with the traditional one. The
experiments also show that more improvements should be emphasized on the
dynamic and economy feature. The road tests serve as references for the
parameter-calibration, optimization of control strategy and the system
matching. A helpful discussion about HEV’s test procedure is also
undergone.
