Abstract: The principle of cold rolling for involute spline is analyzed. Based on the relation of mesh of roller spline, the design model of roller is proposed using the producing principle of ascending equidistance. And the equation of theoretical design contour curve is acquired. According to experiment data, the amendment method by the experiment is introduced and the roller design model can meet the actual demand in manufacturing. The roller CAD system is developed for the involute spline and the roller simulation system is built. The main algorithm is researched. Actual application shows that the corrections of the roller design model and the amend method are correct, and the roller CAD system and the simulation system are effective. It meets the urgent need in the spline roller manufacturing.
