Abstract: An experimental platform of a 20 kW fuel cell engine was
designed to carry out some experiments and develop higher performance
fuel cell engines. Effects of the parameters of pressure, flow rate
and temperature of the air system on the engine are researched on, and
the hydrogen pressure-drop characteristic is tested. It is found that
under stated hydrogen stoichiometry there is a linear relationship
between the hydrogen pressure-drop and the stack current, which can be
utilized to diagnose the liquid-water flooding case in hydrogen flow
channels for fuel cell stacks.
