Abstract: The needs of motion trace and speed of stainless steel tube
internal finishing are analysed. Several kinds of exciting magnetic
field and finishing motion trace are researched, the exciter which
realized rotating magnetic field and reciprocating magnetic field at the
same time is proposed. A new type of rotating magnetic field equipment
which can complete complex motion trace is designed. The rotating
magnetic field produces wavy finishing stripe by distributing the
magnetic poles along axial direction. It also makes magnetic abrasive
particles move along circumferential direction and axial direction of
the tube at the same time. The 316L tube material removal test is
carried out by the rotating magnetic field setup.
