Abstract: The dynamic formulation of the electromechanical coupling
system for a programmable mechanical press is studied. The dynamic model
of two DOF seven-bar linkages is developed using Lagrange’s equation.
According to the equivalent circuit of the dc motor and the brushless
servomotor, their dynamic model and negative feed back model are
developed separately. The forth order Runge-Kutta method, an explicit
method, is chosen as the integration technique of computer simulation
and the time history of the hybrid-driven press is obtained. Simulation
results verified the feasibility of programmable mechanical press.
