Abstract: Experimental frequency response functions(FRF) are more and more successfully used in different fields of dynamics and vibrations. According to the FRFs in modal testing, especially the inherent relationship between the massline in FRFs and rigid body properties, a new calculation is advanced on a handy, feasible and accurate rigid body properties. The first part derives the theory and the practical implementation from this method. The second part is about practical test cases, which were investigated and verified. Finally, the conclusions point out this method is suitable for the large, complicated configurations.
