SIMULATION OF UPSETTING PROCESS BY REPRODUCING
KERNEL PARTICLE METHOD

Abstract: The principle of the reproducing kernel particle meshless(RKPM) method and its application in metal forming process are presented. Using the penalty method to impose the essential boundary conditions, corrected integration and stablization technique are used in the integration process. The Newton-Raphson method is used to linearization the system equation. The deformable shape of the workpiece in next time step is calculated with the updated nodal coordinate. The results obtained from simulation of two dimensional upsetting process test the validity of the reproducing kernel particle method .
