Abstract: Fe3Al nano-powder were synthesized by hydrogen arc plasma method and mechanical alloying (MA), respectively. The Fe3Al power prepared by hydrogen arc plasma method had B2 structure, with gain size of 50~100 nm and sphericity appearance. Compared with the Fe3Al power prepared by MA had higher concentration of defect and crystal lattice distortion than the power gained by hydrogen arc plasma method. The hardness (HRC), room bending strength and fracture toughness of hot-pressed sintered bulk Fe3Al are 61, 1 300 MPa and 49 MPam· 1/2, respectively.
