Abstract: The scheduling problems of the warehousing system are
studied based on hierarchical colored petri nets. A simple and crude
description of the entire running process of the system is given at the
top level, and the more detailed behaviors are specified at the subpage
level including the running processes of the fixed rack
storage/retrieval (S/R) subsystem, the rotary rack S/R subsystem, the
sorting subsystem and the transporting subsystem. The dynamic behaviors
of the entire system are analyzed using CPN−Tools, and the whole
scheduling strategy is presented and verified.
