Abstract: Customer-centered
reusable design is one of important feature of DFMC (Design for mass
customization). Design retrieval is one of the key technology for design
reuse. In allusion to insufficiency of design retrieval based on
similarity , the Neural Network is introduced into design of case
retrieval and a model based Neural Network is proposed. By modeling for
the fuzzy requirement information, the model for design retrieval is
more adapt to the design reuse engineering fact. Simulation and
practical application show that the design retrieval method based on
Neural Network is better and more effective than the general method
based case similarity, especially in the design retrieval for fuzzy
requirement information, the retrieval result is more flexible.
