Abstract: Buck of ultra-fine grain (submicrostructured or
nanostructured materials) materials could be acquired by equal channel
angular pressing (ECAP) with enough deformation. The node mapping method
is used shifting previous effective strain to next initialization nodes
position, realize simulation of equal channel angular multi-pass
pressing process with finite element analysis. Finite element analysis
is carried out to investigate different die angles of equal channel
angular multi-pass pressing, the distribution rules of the cross section
of specimen cumulate effective strain is acquired. These results present
optimization process for ECAP’s die design and processing routes to
refine grain of specimen.
