Abstract: The transmission system of gearbox used in a large-scaled
wind-driven generator is analyzed with application of the theory of
engagement, gear system dynamics and nonlinear dynamics. The nonlinear
coupling dynamic system with multi-speed gear-driven, which includes the
gears, transmission shafts and gear box, is established based on
considering time- varying stiffness, running clearance and manufacturing
errors. The dynamic characteristics of the coupling system are analyzed
when the internal excitation to the system is considered. The analytical
results provide theory basis for optimizing dynamic performances of the
transmission system.
