Abstract:
The
heat transfer characteristic of semi-ellipse vortex generators that are
arranged in double and single mode is simulated with numerical method.
The calculation mode is based on air-water steady counter-flow heat
transfer state, and the angle of attack is from 0°to 90°. The
calculation Re number is from 6 000 to 48 000. The result shows
longitudinal vortex and stream-wise vortex could be induced with vortex
generator. It indicates that vortex generator could enhance convection
heat transfer in fluid flow. Also, the longitudinal vortex plays main
role in heat transfer enhancement.
