FINITE ELEMENT SIMULATION AND TEST RESEARCH ON IMPULSIVE LOAD OF SLAB SIZING PRESS

Abstract: A finite element technique and testing means are applying on the impulsive load of slab sizing press mill of Shanghai Bao Steel Corp., 1580 Workshop. The change rule of impulsive load is offered, based on the analysis of stress and flowing regular of metal on the slab. The causes of the slab disfigurement are explained. By the dynamic testing, the characteristic of acceleration and contact-impact force of hammerhead is validated, the testing results are consistent with calculation. Through the dynamic characteristic of hammerhead, the existent problems of the equipment are found, and these conclusions provide foundation for the design and maintenance of the SP.
