Abstract: Based
on analyzing the connotation of product structure, the concept of the
product lifecycle model having three dimensions including time, data and
granularity is put forward. It expresses the full information of product
lifecycle actions. The formalization definitions of the nodes, the nodes
attributes, their relationship and the structural subtree are given. The
operation methods of the nodes and nodes attributes are given. The
operation rules and the transformation steps between model subtrees are
described. The product lifecycle modelling process is illustrated from
the product requirement structural subtree to the product scrap
structural subtree by a demonstration.
