Abstract: The technologic research and numerical simulation of spinning of cylinders with inner ribs are experimented. According to the dimensions and deformation information of the realistic work-piece, boundary, contact, friction, spatial trajectory information is taken into account. To analyze the forming
principle of the inner ribs due to different stresses, strains, and spinning forces with different ratio of thinning and feeding, the 3D FEM mathematical model is established. The technology of estimating and preliminarily analyzing the possibility of crackle and surface-coming-off problems can improve the work efficiency; Meanwhile the developing cost can be reduced. This simulation method is established for further studying of mechanism and features of general spinning of cylinders with inner ribs, and it provides optimization of processing parameters with effective methods and reliable support.
