Abstract:
The residual and
working stresses of cold mill roll are analyzed theoritically in
this paper, and a nondestructive testing method for prediction
the residual stress is also published here. Using the elastic
contact theory, a 3-D finite element analysis was provided for
the cold mill roll. Thus, we obtained the condition by which the
residual stress of the cold mill roll should be satisfied within
the limit of elastisity.
