Abstract: In this paper, the
conception of generalized slip-line is proposed, the
differential equations of generalized slip-line which are of
common meanings are deduced for an axisymmetric problem and the
internal stress states are calculated for a cylinder with the
ratio of height to diameter H/D=1.63 being upset between common
flat platens, it is for the first time that the existence of
radical and tangential tension stresses in a upsetting body has
been found in the way of calculation. The calculation results
have been testified by the physical simulation experiments,
corresponding with the theoretical model.
