Abstract: In this paper, the rolling
cone enveloping hourglass worm gearing is systematically studied
in the aspects of the mesh theory, parameter design, the finite
element elastic contact analysis and the development of this
worm set. Some profitable explorations on the practical
application of this worm gearing has been done.
