Abstract: Extrusion-upsetting combined
technique (EUCT) studied in this paper is kind of hot upsetting
technique combining extrusion and free upsetting. This technique
allows the ratio of length to diameter in the forming section of
the billet more than 3 in one extrusion-upsetting process, and
the ratio of billet's diameters after and before deformation
more that 1.5. Experimental method is used to quantitatively
analyze constraint conditions and extrusion-upsetting load of
EUCT, and referable data for technological design are also
given.
