Abstract: In the course of
investigating the high pressure (maximum pressure 1200MPa)
characteristics of lubricants produced in China, the authors met
with several difficulties concerning the sealing under such high
pressure and the conducting of signal from high pressure chamber
to outside environment. Development work had been done and
several techniques thus resulted which proved to be rather
successful. They are high pressure all-metal viscoelastic moving
seal, high pressure theological plain packing, high pressure
feed through leading electrical wire from packed hole and high
pressure viewing window. They are described in this paper, and
it is hoped that they might be useful to research workers
engaged in this area of work.
