Abstract:
Some new revolutions and important influences to manufacturing
industry are coming in present time, owing to the development of
network technology especially the technology of
Internet/Intranet/Extranet. Manufacturing globalization and
manufacturing based on network have become one of the primary
development manufacturing based on network-"regional networked
manufacturing system (RNMS)" is put forward, and the architecture
and running characteristics of RNMS are discussed. The RNMS has
been interesting a lot of enterprises and some regional
governments. In Chongqing of China, the RNMS is being
implemented. The progress and primary achievements show the
RNMS is practical.
