OPTIMIZATION OF THE BLANK DESIGN IN DEEP DRAWING BY THE COMPUTER SIMULATION METHOD*

Abstract: The defects in the deep drawing usually are related to the blank shape. It is convenient and prompt to obtain an optimum blank shape using the computer simulation. An optimum blank shape is attained for a square cup deep drawing by using FEM-based code PAM-STAMP. The blank design method is illustrated by an example, a lampshade of cars.
