[Abstract](2055) [PDF 210KB](62)
Abstract:
Extrusion-upsetting combined technique (EUCT) studied in this paper is kind of hot upsetting technique combining extrusion and free upsetting. This technique allows the ratio of length to diameter in the forming section of the billet more than 3 in one extrusion-upsetting process, and the ratio of billet's diameters after and before deformation more that 1.5. Experimental method is used to quantitatively analyze constraint conditions and extrusion-upsetting load of EUCT, and referable data for technological design are also given.
CONCURRENT DESIGN SYSTEM BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF DESIGN/MANUFACTURING FEATURE
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](2081) [PDF 237KB](103)
Abstract:
In this paper, we have developed a new strategy for concurrent design. Through integrating human knowledge about design and manufacturing and representing it in the form suitable for computer processing, a higher level integration of CAD and CAM has been achieved. The supporting concept is the design/manufacturing feature. A prototype of this concurrent design system has been implemented using C++ language. Test run shows that the system is capable of doing conceptual design, detailed design, process planning, and NC programming in a concurrent manner.

INVESTIGATION OF IN-PROCESS MEASUREMENT OF GEOMETRIC FEATURES FOR MACHINE PARTS
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](2096) [PDF 213KB](61)
Abstract:
A new kind of measuring schedule and set for geometric feature measurement in cylindrical grinding process has been introduced in this paper. Considering the characteristics of in-process measurement, three-point measurement method for roundness and other form indexes is improved and adapted in order to separate the error of rotation and detect the measured profile features accurately by mathematical means of geometric analyses and discrete Fourier transform. Verification method and affecting factors of the measurement are discussed also.
OPTIMUM DESIGN AND DYNAMIC SIMULATION OF DOUBLE-POCKET BEARING FRICTION PAIRS BETWEEN ECCENTRIC CRANKSHAFT AND CONNECTING ROD IN CRANKSHAFT PISTON MOTORS
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](2125) [PDF 231KB](94)
Abstract:
The moving pair between the eccentric crankshaft and connecting rod is one of the essential friction pairs in a crankshaft piston motor. How to balance the tilting force moment of the connecting rod-slipper-pad had been attracting great attention of the engineering designers in the field. In this paper, a hydrostatic bearing theory of the friction pair between the eccentric crankshaft and connecting rod-slipper-pad with double-pocket is presented on the ground of the former achievements in the study of the hydrostatic bearing with single pocket. Next, an anti-tilting hydrostatic bearing equation of the flowing field is derived, and an analysis and evaluation of the anti-tilting force moment is carried out. Finally, the dynamic characteristics of the oil film are simulated.

1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](2108) [PDF 208KB](116)
Abstract:
Based on the principle of motions composition, a 6-axes curved surface cutter grinding machine is developed. This paper introduces the design idea, the basic structure and the control method of this machine, and taking the cone surface of a drill as an example explains how to implement any required grinding operation by means of multi-axes motions composition.

1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](2111) [PDF 266KB](82)
Abstract:
In this paper a new method of analyzing the faults and reliability of mechanical control systems using cut sets matrix of fault trees and their varying matrix is presented and the software of computer-aided analysis is developed. The analysis results show that this method is quite simple and reliable and the software is easy to use. It can be used in both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the faults and the reliablity of the complicated systems.

Next, its stability is verified by using the positive real theory and its robustness analyzed by the method of σ-modification. Finally, take an electrohydraulic servo system for example, the controller is studied by simulation analysis and experiment.
LINEAR FORMULATION OF INPUT TORQUE FOR SPATIAL LINKAGES
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](2103) [PDF 135KB](95)
Abstract:
This paper presents a technique of expressing the translational kinetic energy of the floating link duc to translation of the center of mass in terms of the absolute and relative velocities of certain particular points. Then, the input torque due to mass-inertia effects for spatial linkages can be formulated as a linear combination of indeqendent terms of motion parameters with different mass distribution coefficients. In the paper, the spatial 5-bar RRSRR linkage is taken as an illustrating example.
DISCRIMINATION AND FORECAST OF MACHINE WORKING CONDITION
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](1603) [PDF 198KB](57)
Abstract:
The vibration and noise signals are detected for classifying and discriminating the states of tool dulling also for gearing wearing and forecasting tool wearing. The correct descrimination of tool dulling is increased by using boundary samples as training sets. A linear discriminatory structure of twice dichotomizer is put forward. Excellent results have been obtained for discriminating three nonuniform states of gearing wearing. Forecasting accuracy is increased by correcting forecast.

A method to estimate the distribution of radiated noise from the surface of gear box at design stage is desirable to be developed. In this paper the influence of whole transmission system on the dynamic force, applied on the meshing teeth has been researched. The method to calculate the vibration of the gear box, excited by the dynamic meshing force, has been developed. DYNAMICS OF MULTIBODY SYSTEM INCLUDINNG KINEMATIC AND FORCE CONSTRAINTS
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](1613) [PDF 246KB](80)
Abstract:
In this paper a new concept force constraint is developed. The force constraint may be classified as three general categories, I.e.joint force constraint, relative force constraint and external force constraint. Equations of force constraints are given in the paper. The dynamic model with kinematic constraints and force constraints is developed based on Kane's equations developed by Huston et al. As an example, a planar redundant robot is considered.
STUDY ON LASER MEASURING DEVICE FOR 3-D CURVED SURFACES
1993, 7(4).
[Abstract](1571) [PDF 134KB](143)
Abstract:
This paper puts forward a method of laser double trigonometrical measurement of 3-D curved surfaces, the target light spots form images on two photoelectric receiptors CCD separately througn two sets of image-forming system. The plane coordinates of the light spots can be gained from the imaging positions of the spot on CCD. Then we can measure a curve by rotating a facetted lens to achieve spot scanning. In the end, when the numerically controlled worktable brings along the measuring table to move up and down, we can measure a curved surface.
