INTELLIGENT CAD OF CRANE TRAVELLING MECHANISMS
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2331) [PDF 231KB](118)
Abstract:
Based on common characteristics in crane design, a new procedure of intelligent CAD for crane travelling mechanisms is proposed. The CAD used for crane travelling mechanisms is usually involved in choosing electrical motors, gear reducers, brakes and coupling, arranging travelling wheels and equilibrium beams, checking temperature increase of motros and slippage of driving wheels, estimating the time used for starting and stopping the cranes, drawing up the travelling mechanism, and so on. By enhancing the CAD, the related expert system and overall intelligent control are further developed here in treated as individual module. Accordingly, the intelligent CAD is constructed by combing the CAD with the two modules.

[Abstract](2115) [PDF 219KB](114)
Abstract:
A new method of the design and machining the casting moulds of helical intake ports of diesel engines is presented based on CAD /CAM technique. The problems about the smooth continuity between patchse, the cutter interference and the determination of the mould split curve are discussed in details. The CAGD system of the intake port has been developed, and the casting mould is machined successfully on NC machine.

1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2125) [PDF 215KB](22)
Abstract:
The 3-roll reducing processes are simulated and predicted by using 3-D elastic-plastic large strain FEM on the PC/386 computer. The displacement field and flow field of workpiece deformation are given. The internal angle defects of the seamless tube are studied in detail during 3-roll reducing. The predictions of the forming product quality and technology parameter are realized by means of PC/386 computer.
STUDY ON THE INCREASE OF SLOPE-WALKING ABILITY OF MULTI-LEGGED ROBOT
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2119) [PDF 183KB](117)
Abstract:
The stable slope-walking ability of legged robot walking in any direction on slope is analysed. The contacting angle and leaving angle of leg to the ground are presented. A method to increase the slope-walking ability is proposed only by changing the contacting angle and leaving angle of the leg to the ground.
GEAR BOX CONCEPT DESIGN EXPERT SYSTEM OF NC MILLER BASED ON OBJECT-ORIENTED TECHNOLOGY
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2129) [PDF 262KB](136)
Abstract:
The method and basic struture of object-oriented knowledge representation are presented in detail and the hierarchical structure of object description is explained. Based on object-oriented technology, the gear box concept design expert system of NC miller (GBCDES)has been developed and applied to practical use. Moreover, the design principle and techniques of GBCDES are discussed and analyzed, and the main functions of GBCDES are described. From the results of applications, it can be seen that GBCDES is effective and successful.
MODELLING OF TWO-FLEXIBLE-ARM MECHANISM WITH ELASTIC JOINTS
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2117) [PDF 164KB](93)
Abstract:
The dynamic model of two-flexible-arm mechanism with elastic joints is studied. The transmission problem of the joint which connects two flexible links is successfully solved. The mechanical model is proposed for the joint, and a practical vibration analysis method of lumped parameter transfer matrix modal analysis is developed for two flexible arms with an elastic joint.
RESEARCH AND PRACTICE FOR MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT MODELLING TECHNOLOGY OF CIMS
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2130) [PDF 280KB](70)
Abstract:
An abstract model and representaion method for manufacturing environment is presented based on analysis of process planning tasks and factory configuration capable of handling the process plans. This model has been proved to be applicable to the generative process planning and to shopflow control information integration. A general manufacturing environment modelling tool has been developed under the X-window support to verity the mentioned model and modelling technology.
APPROACH TO INTEGRATED PROCESS PLANNING SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2150) [PDF 239KB](99)
Abstract:
A series of researches on process planning system architecture is described. The definition of process planning in CIMS, a unified description for work procedure of various CAPP systems, including retrieval, variant and generative systems, and the information models about part, manufacturing facility are provided to form scientific basis for process planning automation where a Part Model based on Feature and a Production Environment Model based on Work-Element are to be important supports for implementation of the integrated process planning system. These concepts are applied to the development of prototype system SIP, which is suitable for box-type mechanical parts and consists of three subsystems: CAD, CAPP and NCP. They are linked together by neutral files as interfaces. This is a successful implementation for engineering integration.
NEW FATIGUE CUMULATIVE DAMAGE PROBABILISTIC MODEL OF THE MECHANICAL PARTS
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2134) [PDF 160KB](27)
Abstract:
Fatigue failure of mechanical part is treated as a random event. The fatigue reliablility problem can be solved through researching the random event. A new definition δ that measures fatigue damage quantity in a cycle under cyclic stress is put forward. According to δ, the paper presents two new definitions K and D is fatigue damage strength. D is overall fatigue damage quantity. Using K and D to describe the fatigue failure of the parts, the paper puts forward a new fatigue cumulative damage probabilistic model of the mechanical parts. The model can be used to solve reliability fatigue problem.
ANALYSIS SOLUTION OF BULGING CONVEXITY OF THE HYDRAULIC ELASTIC BULGING ROLL
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2188) [PDF 218KB](138)
Abstract:
The hydraulic elastic bulging roll system is a new roll system being developed in recent years. It is the first time in home that dead load test and study on this sytem has been made. Based on the experiment, the analysis solution of the bulging convexity of the hydraulic elastic bulging roll was obtained by selecting appropriate displacement function and adopting inverse solution of the elasticity theory. In evaluating, a variable displacement function and its solving method was advanced. The analysis results are in accord with the experiment's. some conclusions have laid the foundation of establishing close-loop controlled mathematical model of the hydraulic elastic bulging roll system.
CALCULATION OF W-N GEAR DRIVES' RUNNING-IN PROCEDURE
1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2185) [PDF 171KB](83)
Abstract:
A new calculating method of the running in procedure of W-N gear drives according to the criterion of frictional work consumed in meshing cycles is presented. Combining with the amount of clearances between two teeth flanks, the running-in procedure of W-N gear drives is reappeared more authentically. The erroneous conclusion that considering that the contact pressure uniformly distribute along the tooth depth after full running-in is corrected. So a foundation for the calculation of the contact pressure of W-N gear drives is provided.

1994, 8(3).
[Abstract](2117) [PDF 170KB](102)
Abstract:
The double-die ironing process is studied by means of UBM. The formulas of deformation load, contact stress on die surface, and tensile stress which acts on workpiece is obtained. Taking accout of dimensional accuracy, a new critical condition of limit reduction in cross section area is put forward for the first time. The test experiment indicats that results of theoretical analysis well accord with the actual conditions.
