1997, 11(4).
[Abstract](2346) [PDF 255KB](105)
Abstract:
A theoretical method of solution for residual stresses in ground surface is developed. A new nodel for analysing the residual stresses is proposed. A new model for analysing the residual stresses is proposed, and a finite element analysing software for solution of two-dimension thermal elasto-plastic problem with moving loading is developed. Numerical analysis and computer simulatio of formation of residual stresses in grinding process are conducted by means of this software. The theoretical basis is provided for controlling residual stresses of machined surface, and for precisely machining.

1997, 11(4).
[Abstract](2286) [PDF 159KB](134)
Abstract:
An enthalpy finite element analysing software is developed. The software can trace the growing process of the slab shell of the crystallizer in the continuous casting and can calculate the surface temperature distribution. By this, the operator can know the solidifying state and the exit thickness of the cast slab's each section in the crystallizer. The software has great significance in production and practice.

IMPROVEMENT ON STABILITY OF ADAPTIVE NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM BY USE OF GRADIENT BACK-ADJUSTING FLMS ALGORITHM
1997, 11(4).
[Abstract](2083) [PDF 173KB](76)
Abstract:
GBFLMS algorithm is posed to improve the stability and performance on noise reduction of adaptive noise control (ANC) system. Theoretical analysis shows that stability and precision in convergence of FLMS algorithm can be improved by GBFLMS. By iterative calculation of back-adjusting gradient, the calculating operation of GBFLMS can be nearly the same as that of FLMS. An ANC system with GBFLMS has good behavior for noise reduction of compressor chamber on refrigerator. At the port of heat dissipation, noise level has been reduced 20 dB, about double of that got by the system with FLMS.

Abstract:
Several key problems in the research and development of continuously variable transmission for automobile, such as those connected to the transmiting frictional pair and the related automatic tightpressing actuator, the transmission ratio control logic and the related automatic control system, are discussed. The strategies taken for solving these key problems are described.

1997, 11(4).
[Abstract](2073) [PDF 174KB](94)
Abstract:
Experimental investigation of the passive control on improving the unstalbe characheristics in axial flow fans is performed. It is confirmed that the air-separator is an excellent equipment for rotating stall suppression. The air-separator can effectively remove low energy fluid near the fan casing. Further, it can improve the low flow rate range performance and increase stall margin of the axial flow fan.
STUDY ON STRIP AND ROLL DEFORMATION COUPLING OF COLD STRIP ROLLING ON 4-H MILL
1997, 11(4).
[Abstract](2087) [PDF 222KB](114)
Abstract:
The cold strip rolling process on a 4-h mill is studied by coupling the 3 dimensional plasticity deformation of the strip with the elastic deformation of the rolls. On the conditions of that the width to thickness ratio of the strip is 660 and the exit strip shapes are respectively edge wave, centre wave and good, the computed results of the transverse distributions of the roll gap, the rolling pressure, the interroll pressure, and the front and back tension agree with the experimental results well. The studing methods and the studied results are of great importance to forming shape theory and guiding the development of shape control technology.
ANALYSIS OF ROLLING BY ELASTO-PLASTIC FINITE DEFORMATION CONTACT BOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD
1997, 11(4).
[Abstract](2106) [PDF 153KB](217)
Abstract:
A multionlinear boundary element method is established dealing with elasto-plastic finite deformation contact problem, and it is employed to analysis rolling process. With rollers as elastic bodies, workpieces as elastio-plastic bodies, rolling problem can be viewed as a frictional elasto-plastic contact problem. With fewer assumptions in the simulation of the rolling process, a novel and accurate method is proposed for analysis of rolling problems.

[Abstract](2158) [PDF 185KB](92)
Abstract:
A method for improving accuracy of CNC machime tools through compensation for the thermal errors is studied. The thermal errors are obtained by 1-D ball array and characterized by an auto regressive model based on spindle rotation speed. By revising the workpiece NC machining program, the thermal errors can be compensated before machining. The experiments on a vertical machining center show that the effectiveness of compensation is good.

The ranges of the main parameters are selected reasonably. It provides the theoretical basis for the structure design and application of this new type of worm gearing.
